Reservations & Payments
All trips require a 50% deposit to reserve your space.
The deposit will confirm your reservation until 60 days prior to trip departure, at which time the balance owing is due.
**If the balance is not paid in full by the due date, we will regard the booking as canceled.**
Method of payment is cash, check or credit card via Pay Pal however there will be a 2.9% surcharge for credit card charges. Upon registering for the trip on the website you will receive an invoice from Monique Evans c/o SYRV (Nicaragua Surf Yoga Volunteer Adventure).
Registrations will be accepted after the final payment is due, but they are on request and subject to availability at the time of booking. In the case of late bookings, full payment will be required upon registration. Payments made less than 60 days before departure must be paid in full.
SYRV is backed by Project Laguna, a nonprofit with 501(c)(3) status therefore all donations (100%) and trips (90%) are tax deductible. Upon receipt of payment or donations made you will receive a letter on behalf of SYRV from Project Laguna for your tax filings.
Cancellations & Refunds
You must cancel at least 60 days prior to the first day of the trip in order to receive a full refund of your deposit less the following cancellation fees.
International Trips ~ $250
If you cancel within 60 days of the first day of the trip you will be reimbursed the following amounts –
60-50 days prior to 8/5/09 or 8/12/09- 75%
49-30 days prior to 8/5/09 or 8/12/09 - 50%
29-0 days prior to 8/5/09 or 8/12/09 - 0%
There will be no refunds for arriving late or leaving early. There are no exceptions to the above cancellation policies including personal injuries or weather.
If a trip is cancelled by SYRV (Nicaragua Surf Yoga Volunteer Adventure), all deposits and full payments to date will be refunded in full which constitutes settlement fees. SYRV (Nicaragua Surf Yoga Volunteer Adventure) will not be held responsible for any additional travel expenses incurred in preparation for cancelled trips including airline tickets, travel delays, flight cancellations or illness.
Trip Costs
Trip costs and what they include are listed on the itinerary for each trip. Trip costs are based on group rates and no refunds will be given for utilized services.
Items not Included in our costs:
Visa and passport charges
Departure taxes
Gratuities
Extra meals not included in itinerary
Items of a personal nature (i.e. laundry, drinks, telephone calls, personal clothing)
Personal travel insurance
Any item that is not specified as being included
Emergency evacuation
Trip Dates, Delays & Route Changes
SYRV (Nicaragua Surf Yoga Volunteer Adventure) reserves the right to cancel any trip up to 2 weeks prior to departure, in which case any payment you have made will be refunded in full. You will not be entitled to make any further claims for compensation or damages, for any loss, consequential damage, expenses, loss of time or inconvenience which may result from such cancellation.

Notice is hereby given that all arrangements made on behalf of customers are made by the organizers on the sole condition that the organizers shall not be held responsible for any injury, death, accident, delay, loss, damage, or irregularity which may be occasioned through acts of any company and/or persons engaged in carrying out arrangements and services described herein or otherwise in connection herewith.
The information contained in this site is correct to the best of the organizer's knowledge, but the organizer accepts no liability for any inaccuracies therein.
The organizers reserve the right to alter any itinerary or service at any time without penalty to the organizer. Any additional expense or cancellation costs shall be borne by the customer.
The organizers reserve the right to withdraw or refuse any service to any customer at the discretion of the organizers. Payment of deposit is taken as acknowledgment of and agreement to the above items.
Air Carrier Responsibility
Tour and guide services, hotel accommodations, restaurants, and all other services except carriage by air as provided by the airlines are furnished by the contractors who are independent and do not act for, or on behalf of the airlines.
The acceptance of this order of participation in the tour, by the passenger or his assignees shall be deemed to be consent to an acceptance by such person(s) of the above and of any further conditions and that the airline shall not be liable or responsible in any way whatsoever for the accuracy of any representations regarding such tour services, nor shall the airlines be liable or responsible for any inconvenience, loss, damage, or injury arising out of or in connection with such tour services other than its liability under the ticket and tariff provision for carriage by air furnished by it.
Consumer Disclosure Notice
SYRV (Nicaragua Surf Yoga Volunteer Adventure) acts only in capacity as agents for the passenger in all matters connected with hotel accommodations, sight-seeing tours and transportation, whether by air, rail, bus, motorcar, boat or any other means and as agent holds itself free of responsibility for any damage occasioned by any cause. SYRV (Nicaragua Surf Yoga Volunteer Adventure) will not be responsible for any damages or expenses or inconveniences neither caused by late departures or change of schedule, strikes or to their conditions, nor will be responsible for loss or damage to baggage or any of the passenger's belongings. All prices quoted are correct at time of printing, include the cost of operation of the tours, and are subject to currency and airfare changes. SYRV (Nicaragua Surf Yoga Volunteer Adventure) and their employees shall not be responsible for personal injury, death, accident, delay, loss, damage, irregularity or property damage as a result of force majeure or for any other losses or damages incurred by any person or tour participants caused by any delay or change of itinerary or arising out of any act, including, but not limited to, any act of negligence, any person acting for or on behalf of SYRV (Nicaragua Surf Yoga Volunteer Adventure) for transportation, accommodation or sight-seeing provider or any other person or entity rendering any of these services or accommodations being offered in connection with these Trips.
